Isolation
People speak of loneliness and isolation as a moment where we are completely and profoundly alone,
I find it’s mostly attributed to people who run solo, don’t really socialize, keep to themselves.
I believe we feel isolation and loneliness even stronger when you finally get together with someone, and you have that crushing, brutal realization that they don’t truly see you, that they no longer care to attempt to understand you.
The most isolating thing is when you are stuck between a rock and a hard place, when there’s problems but no one wants to discuss them.
People will give up and pretend you don’t even exist if you push too hard, you become a living ghost.
Sitting there,
Standing there,
You can try to fix it all,
But truth be told, you’ll never be let in.
It’s been days since we last spoke,
It’s been days since I’ve seen your face.
I’ve been here before.
Too many times.
